And then comes spunky, gorgeous Lauren.  She pulls up in her cute little car which is stuffed full of clothes, shoes and accessories.  She’s looking fresh and fabulous from her salon session and is ready to rock some senior pictures.  We start off at the first planned location and then jump in our cars to head to the next, so far so good.  On our way though, I see a field that is practically screaming for me to stop.  It’s on the side of the road, behind a run-down garage and something I normally would not even give a second glance.  But gracious, the light was just beautiful, so I make an impromptu decision to pull over and give it a try.  Well, this location led to another unplanned spot, which led to yet another fabulous find. It was like a location treasure hunt and we hit gold!

I’m so glad Lauren was up for the unexpected.  She is absolutely beautiful and was so much fun to work with.   She has great things in store for her!  I hope you enjoy gorgeous Miss Lauren from the graduating Class of 2013.

It’s time once again for my 11-on-11 project.  I’m on a roll taking pictures of my daughter.  I have four children (three boys and a girl) but so far all three of my project posts have only included her.  I promise I love and cherish each of my rascals equally!  :)  Little Miss H is just around me all day, every day and is the most willing (notice I didn’t say easy) to photograph.  Maybe next month I will branch out and figure out a bribe lucrative enough to entice my boys to get in front of my camera…

I’m titling this month’s post – “Life with a Princess”   After having three boys, this “all things pink and girly”  has taken some getting used to.  This little bug is my constant companion, wants to do everything mom does and is convinced she is a real, live princess.    Here is just a glimpse into our princess filled days…

We play with princess shoes.

And wait for our princess fingers and toes to dry.

We wave the royal wand.

And speak to our loyal subjects.

We take care of the exhausted royal guard after a long day slaying dragons (aka watching the kids).

We know our fairy wings are real even if they don’t show up in the pictures.

Rubbing the queens feet as we daydream of prince charming.

A princess must always look her best.

Hang on, I’ve got to take this call…

Politics in the royal court; we know who to kiss up to.

This post is one I am so excited to share.  It includes two of my loves – my husband and daughter – doing one of their favorite things.  ”Tripping on the bed” is a Saturday morning tradition in our house.  Dad gets up and hits the gym (he’s one of “those” people) and we lounge around as the kids anxiously await his return.  The sound of the garage door opening is the que for all four munchkins to immediately rush upstairs and hide under the covers in our bed.  What happens next is wild and crazy, full of pillow fights, tripping wars and aerial stunts (I admit I usually hide downstairs).  But this time I waited until the boys had had their fill and snuck in while it was just my husband and daughter left playing.

The following pictures are such a treasure to me.  I was able to capture a little girl who adores her daddy and a fabulous dad who takes the time to play horse, monster, tent and airplane.  Such real, candid moments that are filled with joy and love.  To me, these are priceless.

And the self portrait…there are always snuggles left for mom at the end.

We had some amazing snowfall last month and I was lucky enough to capture my sweet girl during one of the calmer and not-so-cold storms. She was pretty back and forth between loving the huge snowflakes, being terrified of them, eating the freshly fallen snow and crying to go inside.  Thankfully my sister was in town and able to capture the last image.  Have a scroll through our snow day and make sure to follow the link at the bottom of the post to see the next fabulous photographer in our group!  I promise you won’t be disappointed!
